Unfortunately Melbourne Show at the start of her second season was her undoing. In being expected to compete beside side show alley, the noise and activity completely unnerved her and thereafter she became a nervous competitor, especially if any harness came out and she missed out on many sashes that should have been hers when nerves overcame her, and she worked tensely. Still, she was campaigned quite successfullly for several years but her reliablity having gone missing, she never lived up to her potential. Then with others needing to come out, Beauparc decided to let her have a few babies and she has proven consistenly that she can reproduce the quality that was her own stamp.

Zara was the result of our first attempt at crossing the mostly thoroughbred Rolled Gold to the new incoming breed of Riding Ponies. Such was her quality that Libby followed it up with another cross and Rolled Gold was then continually used to breed us the riding ponies that have become the Beauparc stock. Zara was a wonderfully conformated, brilliant moving mare and she proved she could pass on those qualities to her babies. She was campaigned in the show ring for an number of years, winning a large number of champions and placed 3rd in her class at the Melbourne Royal, even though she was a little overwhemed by the ocassion. But with other horses due to come out and having just purchased Fairlight Acres Windsine, (our own riding pony sire) Zara was put in foal, but such was the quality of her progeny she was never brought back to the showring which had been our original intention. All her progeny have been champions, and a more reliable and consistent breeder would be hard to find and she continually produces the best show hunter types that can be found. |

From the very first foal, Beauparc Priscilla delivered sensational riding ponies to our foundation stallion Fairlight Acres Windsine. Shenae was another stunning baby and Beauparc expected her to carry on the reputation of her sisters. She had one outing as a 3 year old but so early in the season she still had her winter coat. She took the champion sash even though she was somewhat over awed by her first outing off the property. She was then left in the paddock while others got a go (who were better in coat) and ended up being left for the season as we had enough to campaign. Then at the start of the next season, while taking out our new welsh colt Cherrington Damascus to compete at Adelaide Royal she went sore with founder and Beauparc covered her and she produced two of the most stunning foals in B. All That Jazz and B. Rose Gold. But with too many youngstock still sitting in our paddocks, and with the drought showing no signs of ending, she was not covered but then the next year was loaned to Sefton Stud as she was too good a brood mare to be left unproductive. And because our other mares have now obligingly gone straight in this year we will probably leave her uncovered again this season and then get her early in season 2009/10. |

Sami was Zoe's fourth baby and again we were very happy with the consistency of quality our Zoe/William cross was having. A little plainer than than some of her earlier sisters in her baby years, it was when she was being broken in that Sami's quality lept to the fore. Showing the most extravagant movement, as soon as she framed up it was wow, where did all that come from. At her very first outing, led and under saddle, she took champion and even though she thoroughly on the toe with her first outing off the property, she performed beautifully. And we certainly believed she was one of the best ever to be produced by Beauparc. Because Libby is time limited and there are always horses needing work or to be shown, and knowing we could not offer the consistency of work or outings, it was agreed to allow her to travel to a connection in Queensland where it was thought she would sweep all before her. She was working with consistency and ease and it was thought a regular rider was a way for her to live up to her potential. We have no idea what happened. there was an accident and so Sami came home to Victoria. After recovering condition, and now a small galloway rather than the big she had been on departure, and since most of our girls have some age on them, and as she was the last one we had with the Rotherwood Acrobat and Rotherwood Windswept cross, it was decided that Sami would become one of our breeding grils and she is now in foal to Manorvale County Royal.

Our Beauparc stock have always had a reasonable amount of thoroughbred in their lineage. Our foundation girls, Rolled Gold, was mostly thoroughbred, and Queen of Hearts was all thoroughbred. While William (Fair Light Acres Windsine) had a thoroughbred grandmother. So while introducing more welsh into our progeny, we have looked to keep the height and quality coming from our thoroughbred strain. In losing first Beauparc Black Lace and then her daughter Beauparc Reminiscing this last year, we had lost that main thoroughbred line that we love. Therefore Dale Plumb's gift of the beautiful throughbred mare Sea Rhapsody offers Beauparc the opportunity to keep our thoroughbred input. A wonderfully confirmated and delightfully coloured mare, we eagerly await her first foal for us and plan to cover her with Cherrington Damascus in the following year . |

Ruby was the pick of the foals we had from B. Black Lace. Unfortunately she had a bad fall while a yearling, somehow somersaulting over a gate and did something to her neck and it took quite a time to heal. It meant though that she often stressed badly, giving the impression that she was frightened of hurting herself again and when Libby began to break her in at two and a half she looked as if she wouldn't cope with it very well. Since there were others to come out we decided to leave her for the time being and instead put Fairlight Acres Exquisite over her and hoped that it might also help settle her down. But the bad luck fairy must have followed her around and she delivered her first foal unexpectedly and on her own and as may be read in B. Exquisite's story, she failed to get to bond with her new baby and so he ended up on the bucket. She then delivered a glorious filly to Cherrington Damscus and this time all went well and she was a lovely mother. But when we went to AI her in 2007, she proved to have an infection and by the time that was cleared we decided the drought was too severe to persist and she was left for the year. Then more bad luck this year. Even though she was not that fat, she went sore indicating founder, and even as we covered her she developed a uterine infection that tipped her right over and after living on bute for more than four weeks and having gone in all four feet we had to make the most difficult decision to have her put down. The quality of the two babies she has left behind will prove that Beauparc has lost one of the best mares we have bred and that her loss is immeasurable. |

A stunning red bay with four white socks and a blaze standing 16.1hh. Katie was then purchased by Trudy Parish and had an outstanding career in dressage. Now deceased. | |
| 1987 | Beauparc Black Tulip (Vicki) | Victoree, ASB | Vicki was a stunning black mare with two white socks and a large star, she was over 16 hands. In only two outings she won champion led and ridden hack but was then lost in a paddock acident. |
| 1988 | Beauparc Priscilla (Priscilla) | Downland Helmsman | Priscilla was a beautiful black galloway mare with two white socks and a large star. She was quickly spotted when she came onto the show circuit and sold within Victoria. She was later offered back to Beauparc where she went onto to breed the stud a host of stunning ponies by Fairlight Acres Windsine before she passed on. |
| 1989 | Beauparc Black Gold (Nigel) | Gold Era ASB | Nigel was black with a big star and was 16 hands, Beauparc stood him as a colt for a number of years. Not being able to be breed registered, he did not get the quality mares he deserved and so was gelded. He had considerable success both led and ridden, and even competed in the Garryowen before he was sold. We heard from his most recent owner that he had been dearly loved but he passed on recently. |
