Due to personal time constraints Thomas had a very slow introduction to the show ring. In season 2006/2007 he was only shown in limited outings and often without the preparation he should have had, but stud commitments were unrelenting and demanding especially with the addition of the worst drought in recorded history. Then of course in season 2007/2008 Equine Influenza saw Thomas catch just a bare minimum of shows.

Nevertheless, when shown, Thomas has more than held his own against fierce competition in the show hunter ring. He is a magnificent example of the show hunter type as his wins and judges comments have shown.
In December 04 (as a 4yo) he became Champion Led Galloway and Champion Led RP Show Hunter at Kilmore Ag Show. In his next outing, the Victorian RP Classic (February 05), he was the Runner-Up Led Riding Pony Show Hunter of the Year.

At the Riding Pony Pageant in November 2005. Under highly respected judge Mr Tony Oliver-Watkins he was sashed first as best Led Riding Pony Show Hunter from a class of 14. He then went Champion Led Show Hunter and finally stood as Supreme Led Riding Pony Show Hunter. Mr Tony Oliver-Watkins said Thomas would do as well in England against British bred Show Hunters.

This was repeated when under English judges at the 2007 Vic. All Welsh in January 2007where he went Champion Led Show Hunter. Mr. John James, the judge, said Thomas looked like a wonderful horse to ride. Then at the Welsh National Show in March 2007, he was sashed as National Champion Ridden Show Hunter under an English judge with Reserve Champion going to Belaradah Stud's current EFA National Show Hunter POTY. The judge Rob Jones commented that both his champions would stand up well against any of the best English Show Hunters. He also said both were true show hunters.

In season 2008/9, Thomas again has given way to the need to bring out B. Sebastian and B. Exquisite and only now Sebastian is sold is he able to catch the few last shows.

At Barastoc 2009, in his first outing of the season, and despite getting upset with crowd applause, he made it into the workout group of 14 and then stepped it up and ended in the top 8 of a strong class of SH galloways. Thomas then took the Reserve Champion Open galloway at Rochester Agi, and 1st and Champion Ridden Open Galloway at Jerilderie in his next outing. Then 1st and Champion Show Hunter Galloway at Tullamarine.

Sire Fairlight Acres Exquisite

James was born beautiful and as he proved to be the most exquisite foal there was no hesitation to give his father's name with the Beauparc brand.

Though he did have to do it tough when he was delivered unexpectedly. And while we don't know what happened exactly, except there was an electric fence involved in his birth (the afterbirth was caught up in it). The trauma of that coupled with his mother being a maiden mare, meant she didn't get to bond and then wouldn't accept him despite our best efforts. In fact he was called James, because, like 007, he survived an amount of deadly adventures without getting a scratch.

So began Beauparc's first experience of having to bottle(bucket) feed a baby. Who was the more traumatised, him or Lib, who found herself on 3 hourly feeds and all while keeping up full time work as well. (She works from 3pm to 12pm. So it meant ringing up hubby or family to ensure they had done their bit then taking over as soon as she was home again. (Yes, indeed she was a walking zombie for many weeks, and had her hands full serving mares as well as everything else.)

But the stunning foal that developed was worth all the trouble. The darling Nattai Ariel came on board and played foster Mum and taught him how to be a pony (though he did spend an awful amount of time on her back with male hormones running rampant.) It wasn't till Dale lost his Mum that he got alternative company. Is was decided early on that he wasn't to become spoilt with all his admirers wanting to play with him. Neither did Lib let him develop a 'poddy' belly but kept up with lots of regular feeds and even when he started on hard food there was never an empty feed bin till the two babies started getting too fat.

Probably our most expensive foal, (it's better not to think how much he cost us to get to this point) but isn't he worth it. This boy is really special, otherwise how can he have had such an eventful life without ever taking a backward step. And as he grows up he is showing that he truly deserves his name.

James was broken in over winter and he is a delightful boy. A bit of a fidget while tied up maybe, and loves to play, but he's such a personality you just have to love him. He broke in easily and really lapped up the extra attention. And he puts in a lot of effort into his work in his attempt to please. He will need a family that wants to love him as much as he wants to love that family and he preens himself on being a favourite.

After debating whether to bring him out this season, due to the few shows on offer for him as a debutant we did decide to do so. And he's as eye-catching as we thought, immediately eliciting much comment and admiration. In only a few outings he has achieved these results

  • 2nd Newcomer Pony & Res Champion Newcomer Exhibit; 2nd Show Hunter Pony; Kyabram Ag
  • 1st SH Pony 13 - 13.2 hands; 1st RP SH 12.2.13.2h; Lancefield Agi

  • James is now taking his break.

Cherrington Damascus's second crop of foals are now coming into maturity and we are very happy with the quality and nature of the foals he is producing for us. Mia is a credit to him but also proves how much her dam Beauparc Reminiscing will be missed as she looks every bit as good as her brother James (Beauparc Exquisite) and as he hits his straps in his first show season. Winning prolifically in only minmal outings and winning a legion of fans as he does so, James has set the bar high but we have high hopes of Mia when she gets to make her debut.

A very upstanding filly, I believe her photos don't really do her justice as she is a very stylish filly. She has the movement and stunning red bay colour that will make her a stand out in her turn. She will be broken in over this coming winter.

November 2009
Mia is now broken in, and going beautifully. She tried so hard under saddle that she often put herself under stress and so Libby really took her time to ensure there were no backward steps. And what a special girl she is, even in her 3rd time under saddle (which are all these photos of her being ridden) she showed movement to die for - look how often all four feet are off the ground in her trot movements) and she showed what a show horse she will make even with all her winter woolies.

At this time though, the plans are for her to be retained by the stud as she is simply not able to be replaced, Beauparc having lost her mum and her grandmother, and the others we have in this line being geldings. Her mother Beauparc Reminiscing having given us Beauparc Exquisite( who has already won so much and is only a year older), and now Mia, this loss looks devastating and we need to look to Mia to carry on this line for us.

Rosie is the second foal for Beauparc Finesse. Like her full sister Beauparc All That Jazz, Rosie is full of promise and she has the most stunning chestnut colour with that most desired 'bling'. All that Jazz is already picking up supreme championships and her sister Rosie will also make her mark in the future .Super pretty, she has movement and a ton of elegance. She is due to be broken in this winter.

Rosie has now been broken in and is going beautifully. And as a breeder is offered for sale on our for sale page. See her under saddle in this section.

This is a most gorgeous filly. She will make the best show hunter with a ton of class and look at me qualities. Her temperament is outstanding, and in getting her photo file updated, we put her into the round yard and hunted her around for the first time as some of the pictures show, and saw movement to die for, as she picked up the idea with little fuss or stress.

It makes one long to get her out but there are so many already in the queue unfortunately. And there's only one thing one person and one float can do. Kara will also be broken in over the winter months, but in the future she will be a force to be reckoned with.

Kara was third in line to be broken in and as such has so far not yet gone under saddle as time constraints have limited the amount of time Libby has had to get round to all the tasks she has as a breeder. Despite that Kara is now listed in our for sale page, and as long as she is not broken in, will be offered at a reduced price (save us time and you can save money). So if that is your choice hurry in for a discount.

Sebastian is a most attractive pony that has all the attributes to make a top show proposition. An attractive and rare dapple brown, he is beautifully marked with two white hind socks and a beautiful blaze.

He has a beautiful turn of front, great movement and will absolutely make a top small open pony. Also with the potential to become a leading rein and first pony prospect. His nature is exceptional. And now broken in and ready to be shown under saddle, the problem is to find a rider so he can strut his stuff.

He was supposed to start his show career in 2007, but with EI causing the cancellation of most shows in 2007, he will probably be held over to season 2008/2009 so he start as a genuine newcomer.

He is a delightful pony and had been going beautifully with a child rider and presents himself with a wonderful style that would suggest look out for me when I start my show career.

BEAUPARC LAUDERDALE (Dale)

Sire Cherrington Damascus

Dale is by our Welsh B Stallion Danny out of Ebony in his debut year. He surprised us as we thought that with a dad who was 12.2 we would be getting a small edition but the leggy colt we recieved was delightful. Measuring over 14 hands already, he will easily mature to big galloway.

Dale suffered a reversal of fortune when at 6 weeks we lost his dam to a twisted gut and he ended up on the bucket, but as can be seen he isn't and never got a 'poddy belly". Lib was very dilligent and got up at all hours through the night to see her babies never went hungry and both James and Dale were not without a feed until about six months when they were getting too fat and had to be dropped back.

We have to say all that the reputation the welsh have for having a beautiful temperament runs true in Dale. Right from birth he was delighful and even after losing his mum he didn't nevcome hysterical but was the ultimate sweetie, and he never was or is a handful to handle or get along with.

So it will take an incredible offer to make Beauparc part with him, after all he is unique, as without Ebony he cannot be replaced although our Mia is trying. In fact all the Danny foals can't be faulted for temperament. And we would have loved to leave Dale an entire but he would have been only riding pony approved and thereby limited for stud work.

July update. Dale is now broken and going ever so sweetly. (See some recent pictures of him on our home page.) He is usually such a calm person, it was interesting to see the movement he actually has and as he gained in fitness under saddle. He is just a wonderful boy and deserves the accolades already coming his way.

He is really special.

November 2009 update.
Despite great plans to start Dale this season, so far this has not happened. Too little time and 2 already showing and therefore having to qualify those 2 to make the big shows, Dale had been left to wait. Which is frustrating as he is going to be so good. But since we can't clone Libby, it means he to wait until the others have their quallies or if one sells. Only last week Libby was told by a friend that her best horses are sitting in the paddock. Sigh! But what can one do, Thomas already has lost so many seasons he has to be given his chance, and James (the same age as Dale) has his turn as he is a pony and showing two large galloways is not the ideal way to go. So Dale waits.

But he is a delightful boy and so easy. The welsh father has ensured he has a nature to suit and he is really loved here at Beauparc. His future home will have to be special to suit his special nature.

This is Beauparc Poetry's 6th foal and the first time she went to an outside stallion. And the merit of the dam is reflected in Anna who is by the Welsh B stallion Fairlight Acres Exquisite.

We were delighted to see she would mature galloway but in measuring her at the start of March 2007 and seeing she is already knocking on the door of going galloway, it can fairly safely be predicted that Anna will mature to big galloway.

She is a delightful yearling filly showing a lot of promise that should see her match her sisters, B. Parisienne and B.Panache having already already proven themselves with royal wins and Anna has the potential to follow them with her rich black/brown colour and sweet nature. She's expected to make another brilliant moving, elegant galloway carrying the Beauparc name.

Sire Cherrington Damascus

This is Beauparc Finesse's first foal and Cherrington Damasus' second. A very pretty foal, she matured into a lovely yearling and is now is most impressive as a two year old.

She is showing a lot of quality that will make her an ideal show pony, and she should mature to 13.2 hands. Truly representative of both her riding pony and welsh backgrounds. She will do well in the Riding Pony ring, as a part welsh and she is eligible to be registered ASPA and ARP.

These latest photos were taken in November 2007.

She has a lovely conformation with extravagant movement as well as a sweet nature and is a very easy pony to handle. We are looking forward to seeing her making her mark on the show scene.

If you like Jazz, well look out for her full sister Rose Gold. She is the most stunning chestnut, with flaxen mane and tail as well as 3 white socks and a gorgeous blaze. At the yearling stage, Rosie is as impressive as her sister. Her foal photos do not really do her justice and she can be seen in the foal section. Look out for her yearling photos shortly.

Update March 2009. Jazz is now broken in and going really well. At Bega Show she went Champion Led All Breeds Pony, Champion Led Pony Hack, and then Supreme Led of Show.
