James was a stunning foal from the very first moment he appeared and so there was no hesitation to give his father's name with the Beauparc brand.
Though he did have to do it tough when he was delivered unexpectedly. And while we don't know exactly what happened, except in must have involved the electric fence since the afterbirth was found caught up on it. The trauma of that event, coupled with his mother being a maiden meant that by the time he was found, the bonding of mum and bub wouldn't happen despite our best efforts.
In fact he was called James, because, like 007, he survived quite a few deadly adventures without getting a scratch.
So began Beauparc's first experience of having to bottle(bucket) feed a baby. Who was the more traumatised, him or Lib, who found herself on 3 hourly feeds and all while keeping up full time work as well. (She works from 3pm to 12am). So it meant ringing up hubby or family to ensure they had done their care session before taking over again as soon as she was home again. (Yes, indeed, she was a walking zombie for many months.)
The stunning foal that developed was worth all the trouble though, and our darling welsh A Nattai Ariel came on board and played foster Mum and taught him how to be a pony. It wasn't till Dale lost his Mum that he got alternative company.
James is probably our most expensive foal to date, (it's better not to think how much he cost us to get to this point) but isn't he worth it. He has the best movement, is so light over the ground and has elevation to spare.
This boy is really special, otherwise how can he have such an eventful life without ever taking a backward step. And as he grows up he is showing that he truly deserves his name becoming a very successful show ring performer. |

As Ruby's two foals (James and Mia) enter the show ring it is proving what a loss Ruby is to Beauparc. Unlike James, Mia's birth was uneventful and she bonded well with her mum. And though the mould has been broken with the loss of Ruby, both of her offspring will undoubtedly keep her name alive.
Mia is a delightful girl, though she stresses herself in trying to please. She broke in beautifully and even as she had her first rides out of the round yard, screamed 'look out world, here I come', her movement was just stunning. Beauparc has been somewhat impatient for her to make her debut and finally this last month it was her turn.
In March 2011 she had her very first outing, off the property as well as in the ring, and even though she was totally overwhelmed by it all, she went Supreme Led Riding Pony at the ASSP Open Show in Bendigo. Then followed it up to stand as Champion Led Riding Pony Show Hunter in the Riding Pony ring at the All Welsh Show held in Tatura. She will not make her riding debut until next season. |
| Mia has started her saddle career and what a stellar performer she is proving to be. In top company she had already stood up for an array of garlanded perfromances. Details will be loaded as soon as Libby makes the time to create a list. Some others are listed on our news page. |

Like so many of Beauparc's progency, Rosie has had to sit in the paddock waiting her turn for the show ring. She was broken in winter 2009 and is working beautifully under saddle.
At the end of show season 2009/2010, she had two outings led. At the ASSP show in Bendigo she took the reserve Champion sash in the led open pony. Then placed at the RPSBS Young Stock show. It is hoped that she will finally make her ridden debut in season 2011/2012. |
| With young rider Zoe Murray Rosie has finally made it to the show ring. Look to our news page to see some of her successes. This is a brilliant pony that can be expected to stand up with the best of best. |
